Origami, anyone?

I adore origami. That might be part of why I will be found folding church programs into little shapes for my nephew when they come to visit. Origami is an inexpensive way to decorate and it looks gorgeous! The only thing you need is time and paper. Here are some ideas of how to use it.

Brideology

Way back in February, my darling Manny and I went to Brideology. We ate amazing food, we listened to the lecturers, and we took notes.
Just a few minutes ago, I discovered that we were in a photo the featured photographer took. Can you spot us?

Cupcake tree

In lieu of having a cake, some couples opt to have a darling cupcake tree instead. All sorts of stands are used, but instead of buying an expensive stand, a homemade stand can be custom made to fit the size and colors you want. The creator of "It's Always Craft Time" shared her easy process of making a cute and cheap stand.

Color combos!

Today at work, I was getting a little desperate for something to entertain me. So since I work at a store where color is key, I started putting together my favorite color combinations. (To check out where I am getting all these girly bows, go here.)

Gray (or silver) and teal
Brown and light blue
Orchid and periwinkle
Silver and light pink
Black and red.

And remember, a smart idea to make sure that everyone is up to date and knows exactly what shade you want (because not everyone knows what shade "coquelicot" is) it is good to have color swatches (fabric or paper) to hand out.

Wedding dresses on Etsy

Looking for a vintage dress? A real one of a kind? Turn to Etsy.
A simple way to search is to just look up "wedding dress" under the vintage tab, but here are some of my favorite sellers that include wedding dresses in their selections.
Fab Gabs. They do not have as many wedding dresses, but when they do, the dresses are some of my favorites!

Lip Stick Whiskey. They have many different eras and styles.

Timeless Vixen Vintage. Lots of adorable tea length dresses.

Salvage Life. More informal dresses. Gunne Sax and the likes.

Outdoor Weddings

How much do you love outdoor weddings?
There is SO much potential, or, if you're not careful it might come off as this:

Oh yes, this is for realsies. They look happy though, good for them for getting married. Foto courtesy of CMT's Redneck Wedding website

But how about if the theme is more vintage-indie inspired? If I haven't lost you by now trust me on this-scroll down:

Do you love how not stiff and posed this picture of the wedding party looks as much as I do?

Someone has taken interest?

I invited my darling friend Manny to post whenever she gets an awesome idea.
It made me so happy to learn that someone else wanted to do this with me!
