Do you ever . . .

Do you ever do that thing on facebook where you see a picture of a friend tagged at some wedding reception of someone you don't even know but then you spend five minutes looking through the whole reception album because something about their decor/theme/excitement/goofiness is so delightful?
I do that quite often, in fact,
I did that thing today.
Here are some examples of today's endeavor.
If anyone knows this girl, please tell her that we over at Make it serene love her wedding pictures and wish her luck on her marriage!

Origami, anyone?

I adore origami. That might be part of why I will be found folding church programs into little shapes for my nephew when they come to visit. Origami is an inexpensive way to decorate and it looks gorgeous! The only thing you need is time and paper. Here are some ideas of how to use it.

Brideology

Way back in February, my darling Manny and I went to Brideology. We ate amazing food, we listened to the lecturers, and we took notes.
Just a few minutes ago, I discovered that we were in a photo the featured photographer took. Can you spot us?

Cupcake tree

In lieu of having a cake, some couples opt to have a darling cupcake tree instead. All sorts of stands are used, but instead of buying an expensive stand, a homemade stand can be custom made to fit the size and colors you want. The creator of "It's Always Craft Time" shared her easy process of making a cute and cheap stand.

Color combos!

Today at work, I was getting a little desperate for something to entertain me. So since I work at a store where color is key, I started putting together my favorite color combinations. (To check out where I am getting all these girly bows, go here.)

Gray (or silver) and teal
Brown and light blue
Orchid and periwinkle
Silver and light pink
Black and red.

And remember, a smart idea to make sure that everyone is up to date and knows exactly what shade you want (because not everyone knows what shade "coquelicot" is) it is good to have color swatches (fabric or paper) to hand out.
